Scott Jackson founded JACKSON CORPORATE REAL ESTATE in 2001 as a real estate consulting and advisory firm. From 2002 to 2005 Jackson focused on building a diversified portfolio of income properties for a private family trust, completing 11 acquisitions for the family while building an operating company around the requirement. In 2005 Jackson completed the firms first JV by acquiring Centennial Tower, a 36 story Class A office building and teamed up with General Electric to acquire 28 additional JV investments. From 2008 to 2017 Jackson carefully and successfully maneuvered through the challenges of the global financial crises, managing the firms portfolio of investments while advising partners, clients and lenders to stay the course as the firm completed numerous key lease renewals and refinances with lenders such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Prudential, Mid-First Bank and NXT Financial. In 2015 to 2017 Jackson sold the firm's entire GE Portfolio to the Blackstone Group and completed the sale of Centennial Tower to Duke University. In 2018 to 2020 Jackson completed numerous dispositions, exited the firm's multistate asset management business and sold the firm's remaining JV ownership positions in Atlanta.
Mr. Jackson's past experience includes executive positions at Penn Florida, Lincoln Property Company and Jones Lang LaSalle where he oversaw many of Atlanta's largest office leasing assignments, advising such notable clients as The Equitable, JP Morgan, TIAA , Goldman Sachs and several REITs. Mr. Jackson is a frequent guest lecturer at Emory University, Georgia State University and Clemson University. Mr. Jackson served on the Honorary Board for the Department of Real Estate at Georgia State University and Clemson University and is a Board Member and Advisor to Emory University's Private Equity Real Estate Fund. Mr. Jackson was recognized by Institutional Real Estate Investor News as one of twenty real estate executives most likely to impact global real estate markets in years to come. Mr. Jackson has been recognized in Atlanta Business Chronicles most influential real estate executive's list and largest private owners of office buildings for over a decade. The firms' story has been published in a college level text book and numerous industry publications. Mr. Jackson graduated with both a Masters Degree in Real Estate and MBA from Georgia State University and completed his undergraduate degree in Real Estate Investment and Finance at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. Mr. Jackson is a License Real Estate Broker in Florida. Mr. Jackson completed the SEC Series 65 Registered Investment Advisor license and owns US REIT INVESTMENTS.
